Creative Meet-Ups

Monthly collaborative sessions in Liverpool for making strange things together.

Our Creative Meet-Ups are regular hands-on sessions where people come together to test ideas, make work, and explore creative projects in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. They’re open to adults at any stage of experience, from people trying something new to artists and filmmakers looking for collaborators or a space to experiment.

They are not workshops, formal training, or awkward networking. They’re about making things together, curiosity, conversation, learning new skills and making new friends along the way.

What happens?

Each session is different, but activities can include short filmmaking, writing, miniature making, set-building, editing, and visual experiments. Sometimes the focus is small and playful. Sometimes an idea grows into something longer-term.

Who is it for?

The Creative Meet-Ups are for adults who want to take part in creative activity in a friendly, socially rooted environment. No prior experience is required. You do not need to call yourself an artist or filmmaker to come along.

If you’re curious, but a bit unsure, or somewhere between “I’ve never done this before” and “I want to make more work with other people”, then come along and have a go.

PVTV runs the Creative Meet-Ups to build a real creative community around shared making, experimentation and connection. Alongside Fringe Flicks, they are one of our main public strands, creating space for ideas, collaborations and new work to grow.

When and where

Creative Meet-Ups take place at DoES Liverpool, The Tapestry, 68-76 Kempston Street, Liverpool.

We run Creative Meet-Ups monthly. If you want to make things with other people, try out ideas, or just be around a creative space that is open, strange and human, come along to the next session.
