For this first event of the season, PVTV brings together a night of strange, funny, eerie and gloriously off-kilter cinema, from goblin chaos and demonic encounters to existential dread, collapsing realities and the kind of low-stakes disaster that somehow feels cosmically doomed. The programme moves between the surreal, the absurd and the faintly menacing, with films that feel handmade, mischievous and just slightly hexed.
As always, Fringe Flicks is about creating a welcoming home for underground, experimental and boundary-pushing short film in Liverpool. Expect a carefully curated mix of international work, dark humour, odd textures, cursed meme energy and the sort of cinematic discoveries that deserve to be seen with an audience.
Hosted by People Versus TV CIC at DoES Liverpool, Fringe Flicks is a quarterly film night for people who like their cinema strange, playful, inventive and alive.
